Sophomore All-CIAA Performer Helped ECSU to Best Finish in School History

CHARLOTTE, NC- Elizabeth City State University's Eva Johnson has been named to the 2007 CIAA Volleyball All-Tournament Team.

Johnson, a native of Havelock, NC, was named to the All-CIAA first team as an outside hitter following a historic year for the Lady Vikings. ECSU captured their first ever CIAA Divisional Championship and advanced to the tournament semi-finals for the first time. They were eliminated by eventual Conference Champion Fayetteville State University, finishing the year at 21-11 overall (school record). This season Johnson was named CIAA Player of the Week once, ranked 3rd in the CIAA in both kills and digs and 7th in hitting percentage.
