Final Stats

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – The Elizabeth City State University volleyball team concluded its season Friday evening after being swept by Virginia State University, 0-3 (8-25, 12-25, and )at R. L. Vaughan Center.

Prior to the contest, the Lady Vikings honored outside hitter Asia Livingston and defensive specialist Kayley Surrento for their hard-work and dedication to ECSU volleyball.

Elizabeth City State closed out its season with a 1-20 overall record; while going 1-15 during conference action.

VSU immediately jumped out to a 4-0 lead over the Lady Vikings. It wasn't until an attack error by the Lady Trojans that placed Elizabeth City State on the board. The Trojans continued to work the court from left to right as their attack, set and kills put ECSU away on a 8-25 win of set one.

In the second set, the Lady Vikings came out with a little more enthusiasm and intensity. Both teams were trading punches throughout the first eleven points but it wasn’t enough as VSU took the set, 12-25.

In the third and final set, Elizabeth City State displayed great poise but couldn’t find their feet as the Lady Trojans dominated the set, 8-25.
