CHARLOTTE, NC- Eva Johnson scored a match high 23 kills as the Elizabeth City State Lady Vikings defeated Saint Augustine's College (30-18, 30-23, 23-30, 30-28) in Pool A at the Grady Cole Center.

The Lady Vikings (the Eastern Division's #1 seed) will now move on to face Bowie State University in the double elimination tournament. ECSU will wrap up the day against Shaw University at 7:00pm.

Johnson also added 18 digs in the win while Christina Hager contributed 16 kills a solo block and 3 assisted blocks.

One more win will secure ECSU's first trip to the semi-finals in school history.
