PEMBROKE, NC- The University of North Carolina-Pembroke used a balanced attack in a three set sweep of Elizabeth City State University (25-13,25-17,25-21) in non-conference volleyball action Wednesday afternoon.

The loss halts ECSU's win streak at four games and they fall to 0-3 against non-conference opponents this season.

The Lady Vikings struggled offensively against the Braves, tallying the same amount of kills and errors (22) to give them a .000 hitting percentage for the game.

Rosetta Becerra led all players with a match high 10 kills and a team best 13 digs. Kelsey Smith added 7 kills, a solo block and three assisted blocks.

No one for UNC-Pembroke (10-12 overall) registered double digits but the Braves displayed a balanced attack with 5 of their 7 players finishing with 5 or more kills.

Sabrina Gonzalez and Sarah Bower led the way with 8 kills apiece.

ECSU (9-7) will return to action against Virginia State University on Tuesday, October 22nd. It will be "Dig Pink" night in support of breast cancer awareness.
