Lady Vikings Softball to Make-up Conference Round-up Games

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – The Elizabeth City State University softball team will travel to Charlotte, N.C. to make-up its Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Round-up contests against Johnson C. Smith and Livingston College, Saturday March 25 at JCSU Softball Field.

The first game against the Golden Bulls begin at 4 p.m. and the second versus LC will begin at 6 p.m. The Lady Vikings enter Saturday’s contests with a 1-14 overall record and 0-2 in the CIAA.

Senior hurler Kelsey White spearheads ECSU with a .324 batting average in 15 games played. White has recorded eleven hits in 34 at bats, with 16 total bases, eight runs scored, eight runs batted in, two doubles, and a homer. She leads the team in slugging percentage with .471 and an on base percentage with .410.

The team collectively is averaging a .193 at the plate; including 57 hits total, 36 runs batted in, 29 runs batted in, 13 doubles, a triple, and a homer. Teams are hitting .482 against ECSU; including 223 hits, 223 runs batted in, 197 runs bat-ted in, 42 doubles, 17 triples, and 12 homers on the season.

White also leads the team in pitching with a 10.43 earned run average with an 1-8 record in 13 appearances.
