RICHMOND, VA-The Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings swept Virginia Union University 16-0 and 12-2 yesterday in CIAA doubleheader action.

Sophomore pitcher Alicia Graham struck out eleven and allowed only two hits in game one's 16-0 shut-out of the Lady Panthers. ECSU offense was rolling scoring the 16 runs on 22 hits. Graham did the job at the plate as well, going 4-5 while freshman Tiffany Smith went 3-4 with 4 runs batted in.

Game two yielded similar results as Smith recorded her second win as a starting pitcher in the 12-2 victory. Like game one, Smith drove in four runs and with two home runs on the day.

ECSU (9-7, CIAA 9-7) will return to action April 12th as they will travel to Raleigh, NC to face division rival Shaw University. Game time is scheduled for 1:00pm
