PETERSBURG, VA-The Elizabeth City State University Lady Viking softball team dropped two games to Virginia State University 6-2 and 11-8 yesterday in Petersburg, VA.

In game one, the Lady Vikings held a 2-1 advantage until the bottom of the 4th inning when a bases loaded walk by Alicia Graham of Felicia Comfort scored Charlynda Credle for the tying run. The Lady Trojans would add another run in the 5th and the 6th while the Lady Vikings were held scoreless.

In the nightcap the Lady Trojans held a respectable 11-5 advantage heading into the final inning. The Lady Vikings mustered up a three-run rally but fell shot as they fall to 6-6, all in CIAA play.

The Lady Vikings will return home to face Bowie State in a CIAA double-header on Tuesday, April 5. Game time is slated for 1:00pm on the campus of ECSU.
