Final Stats

BOWIE, MD- The Bowie State University Lady Bulldogs swept the Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings 14-2 and 14-4 in a CIAA Eastern Division matchup on Monday afternoon.

BSU pitchers Jillian Wiley and Heather Enders both pitched complete games and each earned their tenth win of 2008 as the Lady Bulldogs improved to 20-8 and 16-2 in the CIAA.

The Lady Vikings managed a combined eight hits in the two games and committed three errors in both contests. The losses drop the Lady Vikings to 4-4 in the CIAA Eastern Division and they will likely enter this week's CIAA Tournament as the number three seed in the Division behind Virginia State and Bowie State.

ECSU (7-13, CIAA 7-9) will close out the regular season with a makeup date with cross division foe Livingstone College tomorrow in Rocky Mount, NC. The doubleheader is scheduled for 2:00pm. For more information on ECSU Athletics, visit www.ecsuvikings.com.
