Final Stats

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings defeated the Virginia State University Lady Trojans 4-1 Thursday afternoon in Elizabeth City.

The Lady Trojans got on the scoreboard first in their half of the 1st inning only to have an error in the bottom of the inning score Livia Baker to even the score. The mistakes would not stop there as the Lady Trojans committed another error in the first and two more in the 4th in which the Lady Vikings added two more runs. Tiffany Smith led the way for ECSU going a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI and 4 putouts. The Lady Viking defense negated the offense efforts of the Lady Trojans who stranded 5 runners on five hits for the day.
