SHAW LADY BEARS RALLY TO DEFEAT LADY VIKINGS 8-6 IN DOUBLEHEADER GAME TWO

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Shaw University Lady Bears came from behind to defeat the Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings 8-6 in game two of their CIAA doubleheader Tuesday afternoon. After holding a 6-1 advantage, Lady Vikings were held scoreless after the 3rd inning, thus having their five-game win streak snapped. In the top of the 4th the Lady Bears scored three runs to cut the Lady Vikings' lead to 2 (6-4). Shaw would go on to score four more runs in their half of the 6th to take the lead and the game. The Lady Bears improve to 6-8 overall and remain in first place in the CIAA Eastern Division with a 4-2 mark. The Lady Vikings slip to 5-9 overall and 1-1 in the CIAA Eastern Division. ECSU will return to action on Friday, March 31st as they will travel to face Fayetteville State University. On the following day, April 1, 2006, the Lady Vikings will take on Johnson C.
