RICHMOND, VA- The Elizabeth City State University bowling team placed fifth overall out of fourteen participating teams at the Jeanette Lee Invitational hosted by Virginia Union University December 2-4.

The University of Central Missouri finished atop the weekend's tournament defeating Adelphi in the winner's bracket 1432-1343. Sacred Heart finished second with Fairleigh Dickinson, Adelphi and ECSU rounding out the top five finishers.

Bowie State, Saint Augustine's, Cheyney, Virginia Union, Virginia State and Chowan rounded out the field of competitors

The Lady Vikings total pin fall for the baker games was 5,185. During match play on Saturday December 3rd, ECSU posted a 2-3 record with wins over Chowan and Bowie State. In the faceoff against Bowie State Breanna James bowled a team individual beast with 198. Tashana Raley boasted the best overall bowling average of the weekend for ECSU with 160.8.

On day three the Lady Vikings went 2-0 topping Saint Augustine's and Bowie State.
