Boyd Named CIAA's Preseason Top Bowler

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) in conjunction with its Bowling Coaches Association has announced the 2017-18 Bowling Predicted Order of Finish and the Preseason All-CIAA Team.

Senior bowler, Jana' Boyd of Elizabeth City State, highlights the Preseason All-CIAA Team. As last season's Player of the Year, Boyd ranks atop her competitors averaging 192.97 pins per game last season.

2017 CIAA Championship Runner-Up, Fayetteville State University (FSU) has been predicted the CIAA’s top bowling contender this year. The Broncos completed last season with a 54-8 overall record, sweeping the Southern Division 36-0.

Reigning Champion Bowie State University has been projected to the #2 position. BSU finished last season with a 52-22 overall record, placing first in the Northern Division with a 29-4 record.
