ECSU BOWLING SET TO HOST EASTERN DIVISION MEET THIS WEEKEND

Teams Prepare for Next Weeks' Championship with Final Divisional Roundup of 2007

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Lady Viking bowling team will host the final Eastern Division Meet of the 2007 season November 2-4 at the ECSU Bowling Alley on campus.

The team competitions are slated to begin at 12 noon today (Friday, November 2nd) and will continue at 9:00am on Saturday, November 3rd. The weekend's competition will wrap up with baker matches on Sunday at 9:00am. Amongst the crop of contenders are the two-time defending CIAA Champion Bowie State Lady Bulldogs, ECSU, Saint Paul's College, Virginia State University and Virginia Union University. Currently Bowie State is in first place in the CIAA East posting an overall record of 38-17, followed by Saint Paul's (35-10), ECSU (28-17), Virginia State (22-23) and Virginia Union (0-40).

This weekend's games will represent the final tune-up for all teams before the 2007 CIAA Bowling Championship commences next weekend. The championship tournament will take place November 11-13 at AMF Lanes in Charlotte, NC.
