ECSU BOWLING RELEASES 2007-2008 SCHEDULE
June 20, 2007 ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Lady Viking Bowling team has released their 2007-2008 schedule which for the first time will include meets outside of the CIAA conference schedule. Besides the standard, three-divisional, CIAA Round-Up and Championship schedule, the Lady Vikings will participate in three additional meets in hopes of earning post season consideration. Also they will add strength of schedule to their repertoire by participating in a NCAA Bowling Invitational November 30-December 2 in Richmond, VA; the N.C. A&T Women's NCAA Invitational January 25-27in Greensboro and Bowie State University's Invitational February 8-10 in Bowie, MD. Since the CIAA began sponsoring Women's Bowling in 2001, ECSU has served as a divisional host on two occasions (2001, 2002). So after a five year absence the Lady Vikings will welcome the third installment of the Eastern Division meets on November 2-4 in Elizabeth City. The other Eastern Division meets will take place on September 21-23 in Bowie, MD and October 5-7 in Midlothian, VA. The annual East/West Round-up will be October 19-21 in Fayetteville, NC with the 2007 CIAA Bowling Championships slated for November 11-13 in Charlotte, NC.
