ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University Bowling team has secured fourth place overall in the CIAA Eastern Division.

The Lady Vikings boasted a 25-37-1 record (.396) in the regular season. Heading into the 2004 Bowling Championships, Bowie State University sits a top the division. The Lady Bulldogs are followed by Shaw University, Virginia State University, Elizabeth City State University, Saint Paul's College, and Virginia Union University.

Individually, ECSU's Aqueelah Patterson placed highest for the Lady Vikings in the CIAA with a 171. average, good for 7th overall in the East. Finishing 15th overall is sophomore Marika Bell. Brandye Kellogg and Erica Harris placed 18th and 21st, respectively.

The 2004 CIAA Bowling Championships will take place November 7-9 at AMF Lanes in Durham, NC.
