ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Elizabeth City State University's Shaquella Johnson was the game's lone double figure scorer in the Lady Vikings' 54-39 win over Virginia Union University Saturday afternoon at the RL Vaughan Center.

Johnson scored seven of her game high 10 points as the Lady Vikings to 4-2 in the CIAA Northern Division.

The Lady Panthers trailed by 27-23 at the intermission but in the second half committed 15 turnovers that resulted in 19 points for ECSU. Both teams struggled from the floor in the second half, combining for 17 made field goals so the point off turnover differential was key to the game's outcome. Virginia Union shot 6-21 from the floor and was outscored 14-1 in the final 5:42.

The Lady Panthers slip to 1-16 overall and 1-9 in conference games.

ECSU (15-7, CIAA 8-4) will return to action when they host Lincoln University of Pennsylvania on Tuesday at 5:30pm at the RL Vaughan Center.
