PETERSBURG, VA- The Elizabeth City State University golf team tied for second place with Chowan University at the Virginia State University Tri-Match held March 17 at the Fort Lee Golf Course.

The Vikings and Hawks tied at 391 good for second place behind the host Virginia State Trojans. VSU shot a team best 303 on the day while Virginia Union and Saint Paul's rounded out the team scores with 295 and 515, respectively.

Dustin Boothe led the field with a 74 in route to individual low honors. Four Trojans rounded out the top five accounting for their team's first place finish.

The Vikings will return to action on April 8, 2008 at the Eastern Division Tournament in Richmond, VA at Lake Chesdin Golf Club. For more information on ECSU Athletics, visit www.ecsuvikings.com.
