ECSU Football Hosts Bowie State for Senior Day

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – The Elizabeth City State University football team will wrap up its season Saturday, Nov. 4 against Bowie State University at 1 p.m. in Roebuck Stadium for its Annual Senior Day and Think Pink game. Senior day recognition will begin promptly at 12:36 p.m.

The Vikings (4-5 overall; 4-4) enter Saturday’s contest coming off a tough 37-21 defeat to Virginia Union on last Saturday in Hovey Field. This is the 35th time BSU and ECSU will meet on the gridiron, with Bowie hold a two game winning record over the Vikings, 18-16 after capturing victories over Elizabeth City State in the past four meetings. Last year’s meeting ended in a 56-7 loss to the Bulldogs in Bowie, Md.

Bowie State enters Saturday’s game in a dog fight with Virginia Union and Virginia State University for the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Northern Division title for a third consecutive season. The Bulldogs are led offensively by its standout quarterback Amir Hall; while the Vikings are led by its standout quarterback Daqaun Neal. Both ranked in the top five in the league in total passing yards and total touchdowns.
