Cedric Pratt will begin his sixth season on the Viking's coaching staff as the Defensive Backs coach. In 2005 began his coaching career as a graduate assistant for the Mighty Vikings for the wide receivers helping guide the likes of Marvin Jackson and All-CIAA performer Chris Carter. In 2006, Pratt moved to the defensive side of the ball and has done an excellent job mentoring the Viking secondary, helping them become one of the best in the nation, ranking atop the NCAA rankings. In the four seasons Pratt has guided the secondary, ECSU has had six defensive backs garner All-CIAA honors, two were voted All-Region honors while All-CIAA performers Rod Jones and Justin Hamilton were tabbed as All-Americans. As a player Pratt was a solid all around performer as a Wide Receiver /Tight end for the Vikings from 2001-2004. A native of Rockingham, NC, Coach Pratt graduated from Richmond Senior High School in 2000. He earned his B.S degree from Elizabeth City State University in Physical Education in 2004. |
