Junior Guard Receives Honor for Second Consecutive Year

KANSAS CITY, MO- Anthony Hilliard has racked up another post season accolade as he was named to the 2008 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All District First Team for the South Atlantic Region.

Hilliard, the 2008 CIAA Player of the Year, was named the Co-Player of the Year for the South Atlantic Region with Wingate University senior Sean Barnette on March 12th. This past season he led the Vikings to their first 20 win season since 1999. He led the CIAA in both scoring (19.7) and rebounding in 2007-08 and for the second straight year was the only men's basketball player in the conference to average a double-double. He stands at fourth overall in NCAA Division II in rebounding with an 11.4 average.

As a First Team selection, he is now eligible for the State Farm Division II All-American Team which is selected by the members of the NABC.
