ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Elizabeth City State University baseball picked up two conference wins with a doubleheader sweep of Saint Paul's College Wednesday afternoon at Holmes Field.

The Vikings took game one 10-1 and followed up with an 11-0 shutout in game two. The Tigers' (0-14, CIAA 0-11) only run on the afternoon came on a solo bomb by leadoff man Tyle Lee in game one. The Vikings tied the game in their half of the second inning on an RBI single by Michael Duck. ECSU extended the lead with a five-run third inning on three hits and two Tiger errors.

In game two ECSU scored runs in their first three at bats to put the game out of reach. Charles Lenoir, who notched his first win as a starter, gave up three hits as the only pitcher to register a shutout this season.

The Vikings (11-15, CIAA 4-8) will take on Winston-Salem State on Saturday in a CIAA doubleheader. Game time is scheduled for 1:00pm. For more information on ECSU Athletics, visit www.ecsuvikings.com.
