Interim Head Athletic Trainer

Kelsey Stranc joined the Vikings in August 2017 as Assistant Athletic Trainer and now fulfills the role of Interim Head Athletic Trainer.

Previous to Elizabeth City State University, Stranc served as Assistant Athletic Trainer at St. John’s University in New York for 2 years, working with the Women’s Volleyball, Women’s Cross Country, and Women’s Track & field teams.

While working with the Red Storm, she had the privilege of traveling to Guyana for the Aliann Pompey Track & Field Invitational with a number of the Lady Red Storm representing their native countries at an international level.

Prior to her time at St. John’s, Stranc worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the University of South Carolina Volleyball and Beach Volleyball teams, the Columbia City Ballet and the Calhoun Academy Cavaliers.

Before completing her Master’s Degree in Physical Education with emphasis in Athletic Training at the University of South Carolina, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training at Stony Brook University, where she also competed as a swimmer for the Seawolves.
