ECSU TO SALUTE FIVE BASKETBALL SENIORS ON "PLAY 4 KAY" NIGHT THURSDAY

ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Elizabeth City State University will celebrate the contributions of five basketball student-athletes on Thursday for "Senior Night" at the RL Vaughan Center.

The Lady Vikings and Vikings will play host to Virginia Union University for the final home games of the season. It will also represent the WBCA's "Play 4 Kay" game, sponsored by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) to raise breast cancer awareness.

Fans in attendance on Thursday are asked to wear pink in support of the "Play 4 Kay" initiative. The SAAC will hold a special recognition at halftime on the men's game and will sponsor a 50/50 raffle to generate a donation for The Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, (formerly Pink Zone and Think Pink) in partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.

Prior to the start of the second game of the CIAA doubleheader, ECSU will pause to say thank you to five seniors who will be playing in their final home game. They are DeAudra Brown, Lawrence Williams , Paul Goldsmith, Marquie Cooke and C.J. Wright.
