ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Over the 2012 Christmas Holiday, members of both the Athletic and Health and Physical Education Departments made a donation to the Garden Hope House, Inc in Elizabeth City.

Faculty and staff members from both departments donated non-perishable food items and toiletries including towels and washcloths. The items were collected at a box that was housed in the Athletic Department and was given to "The Garden" just before the Christmas holiday.

The Garden of Hope House, Inc provides the best quality supportive services that will enable North Carolina participants to gain housing, become self-sufficient, self respecting, and to achieve prosperity. All programs aim to break the cycle of homelessness by providing its residents with the tools and resources needed to maintain stable, permanent housing, economic responsibility, independence and self sufficiency.
